UNISMUH.AC.ID, Makassar — Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar proudly announces the launch of Scholarship Program for International Students in academic year 2024/2025. This program aims to attract talented students from around the globe to join the diverse and dynamic academic community at Unismuh Makassar.

This scholarship is labelled as UNISMUH MAKERRA Program. UNISMUH MAKERRA is the abbreviated form of “Unismuh Makassar Rector’s Scholarship Program” under the approval of Rector that stated in Standard Operation Procedure and Decree. The program then implement with PMB (Students Admission Unit) and LPBKUI (Language Development, Cooperation, and International Affairs Office) of Unismuh Makassar since 2022.

“The Scholarship Program for International Students is part of our commitment to fostering global education and cultural exchange. We believe that by bringing together students from different parts of the world, we can enhance the learning experience for all our students and create a more vibrant academic environment,” said The Chairman of LPBKUI Unismuh, Maharida, Thursday 23rd May 2024.

The scholarship for this year covers various aspects, including tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly allowance, ensuring that recipients can focus on their studies and fully engage in the academic and cultural activities at Unismuh Makassar.

The program also offers support services such as language courses and cultural orientation sessions to help international students adapt to their new environment.

“We are very thankful for the support from the University, particularly in providing facilities and Human Resources. It reflects the commitment internally,” she stated

Prospective students can do the pre-registration through the dedicated website or by scanning the QR code available in the official announcement. The application process is straightforward, designed to be accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. It requires recommendation letter, copy of scanned diploma and transcript, passport, and health insurance.

Then, the prospective students will have the test conducted by PMB of Unismuh. The pre-registration is opened till July 21st 2024.

“We are excited to welcome international students to our university. This program not only benefits the recipients but also enriches our campus life by bringing in new perspectives and ideas,” Maharida added.
